Problem with 'Tax Exempt' function Jan. 24, 2011
One
of customers(restaurants) resells some items to specific customers with Tax
Exempt. In the order entry screen, they
select menu items and click 'Misc' button to accomplish 'Tax Exempt'. He said
it used to work perfectly but recently this 'Tax Exempt' button in 'Misc'
stopped working; clicking it doesn't take out the sales tax any more.
** I checked BackOffice-Store Settings-Taxes tab and found "Tax Exempt
Security" NOT enforced.
** I also checked Registry Settings in Station Settings but everything seems
normal ;
"Enable Tax Exempt Selection" -> NO, and "Tax Exempt PST only" -> NO.
Where else should we need to check? What usually causes 'Tax Exempt' stop
working? Please help us. Thanks.

Hello,
In the back office > station settings > other Options > extra settings
> Tax Exempt PST only > remove NO and leave it blank. Once you've done this test the tax exemption button.
