Back Up & Restore the Program using SD Card

(1) Clearing RAM on new register

(2) Allocating Memory the same as the Program to be restored

Tip Entry in Register Mode – After Sale Finalization
If the merchant wishes to perform standard tip entry in register mode, a macro function key can be set to enter Z-mode in
the REG key position. Set an un-used key location to the Macro function (use keycodes 356-365 and see “Function Key
Assignment Programming” to locate the key.) Then program the macro key to enter Z-mode and execute the keystrokes
5, 1, 0, Subtotal. (See page “Macro Sequence Programming” to program the macro sequence.)
After setting the macro, the tip entry procedure is exactly as the Standard Tip Entry, except press the macro key instead of
turning the key lock to Z and entering 510 Subtotal.
Tip Entry in Register Mode – Before Sale Finalization
If the amount of the tip is known before the sale is finalized, the merchant can simply enter the tip as they would any other
PLU item, and then use any payment method to complete the sale.
Note: If this method is used, it is recommended that the PLU programmed to accept a tip entry be set with “HASH”
status, meaning that the amount is added to the sale, but not added to the register’s gross sales total. Set PLU HASH
status at digit N3 of the PLU Status options. See PLU programming chapter of the manual. If the TIP PLU is the only
PLU set with HASH status, you can change the descriptor of the HASH total on the financial report to say “TIP” rather
than “HASH”.

Back Up & Restore (with SD Card)
SD Card에 백업해주는 것은 반드시 해야함. 백업은 스토어 이름을 기준으로 백업된 후 리스토어할 때도 스토어 이름으로 리스토하므로, 백업시 스토어 이름을 정해줘야하며 (System Option), 램클리어한 후 리스토어할 때는 클리어된 상태에서 스토어 이름을 SD Card의 것과 동일하게 먼저 이름셋팅을 해줘야한다. 리스토어할 때 한가지 더 생각해둬야할 것; 만일 백업된 프로그램이 메모리 할당을 디폴트 값과 다른게된 경우라면 이 것도 동일하게 할당한 후 리스토어해 줘야한다. 내 경우는 주로 Price Level을 2가지로 한 프로그램을 백업한 경우가 많은데 리스토어시에 이름과 메모리할당 두가지를 모두 꼭같이 한후 리스토어를 실행해줘야만한다.

Tip Adjust, Void Card Transactions on TwinTran
Tip Adjust를 할려면 Z모드에서 510, Subtl키를 차례로 친 후시작한다. APP번호와REF번호가 필요한 VOID와는 달리 REC번호와 Original Transaction Amount두가지 정보가 필요하다. 만일 정산되 팁금액이 잘못된 것을 나중에 알았다면 새 팁금액으로 꼭같은 과정을 실행한다. 나중금액이 먼저금액을 대체(replace)하게된다.

VOID는 이전에 일어난 Transaction을 제거해주는 과정이므로 Batch Settlement하기 전에 해야만한다. 새롭게 negative transaction을 생성하는 Return보다 훨씬 깨끗한 결과를 보여준다. VOID키를 VOID위치로 돌린 후 원래의 transaction과 동일하게 ring up한다. 동일한 아이템이 마이너스 거래로 진해되며 Subtl키를 누른 후 Charge키를 눌러 Slide Card를 하면 두가지 정보입력을 요구한다. APP번호와 REF번호. 만일 팁이 이미 정산된 거래를 보이드할 경우라면 팁 금액은 걱정하지 않아도 된다. 팁은 금액이 얼마로 입력되었든 자동으로 VOID된다.

팁정산과 보이드를 하는 전 후에 Local Total (Z, 505, Subtl) 을 실행하여 정산과 보이드가 제대로 적용되었는지를 비교하면 쉽게 알 수 있다. 팁정산 키 (Z, 510, Sbtl)를 Macro키로 만들어볼것.
